Vampy Blues, Blacks and Purples
So seeing as tomorrow is the LGBT Pride Parade in Dblin, and I will be going to support some of my friends, I have a really exciting rainbow look planned fo my entire face. Seeing as its going to be rainbowbright colour overload tomorrow, I decided to go on the opposite end of the spectrum today. I did a vampy, rock chic inspired look using deep purples, blues and some black. Though the photo didn't show it very well, I have a two toned, black and deep purple lip.
As I am fairly girly and no really gothic at all, (though I think girls who can pull of the gothic style are absolutely beautiful) I paie this look with a black bowler hat, a white silky blouse with ruffles, dark wash denim high waist shorts, a lacey little bolero thing, black tights and a super cute pair of wedges from New Look ( I love them, hey're adorable and so comfortabe!!) As Ireland is still quie cold atm, Im going to wear a little blazer I got a while ago in penneys. It kind of ties in the Rock chick look into the outfit. It has silver buttons and some silver chain detailing on the shoulders.
I'll list the products that I used below, if anyone has any feedback or suggestions, I'd love if you would let me know!!
A mixture of Catrice Cosmetics Infinate Matte Foundaton and Maybelline 24 hour Superstay
Maybelline 24 hour Superstay concealer
Max Factor Creme Puff Powder
Benefit Hula Bronzer
MAC 'Love Thing' Blush
Urban Decay Primer potion
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in backest black as a base (And later on the waterline)
A mixture of Urban Decay Radium and Psychedelic Sister on the lid
A tiny bit of Urban Decay Suspect in the crease (Lots of blending!!)
Loreal Paris Liquid Liner in Carbon Black
dark brown shadow to fill in my brows
Loreal Teliscopic mascara
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Ultimate Colour lipstick in Breakfast at Tiffanys
MAC lipstick in Rebel

Black Smokey eye!
So today I decided to do things a little differently, I opted for a black smokey eye and a pinky- nude lip. I thought that because this is something I don't do very often that it would be a nice change.
This look is perfect for a night out, it is slightly harsh and dramatic fo day time but te right outfit could completely pull it off. I would reccomend applying your shadow before your foundation as the black shadow can produces quite a lot of fall out, so its much easier to clean up the mess on your skin rather than mess up your foundation.
If I were wearing this look out, I would probably apply false lashes. But since Im home today and the furthest I'll be going is the Londis down the road, I didn't really see the point.
Also, I would like to point out that though I am a massive fan of colourful lips and I usually always incorporate a bold lip into all o my make-up looks, a nude lip may look better than a bright colour with this as you already have so much going on with the eyes. I would only do a bold lip if I were going to a party or another social event like that, and I would stay away from red as you don't want to be mistaken for a 'working girl'. If I were to do a bold lip I would probably go with 'Full Fuschia' which is a bright pink or 'Rebel' a deep purple, by MAC.
I really hope you like this look, please let me know what you think!!

As an exstension o my previous post, I thought I'd do a modern day, Audrey Hepburn type look, but with a twist. The products used are the same as my previous post also. This look isn't really for the faint hearted. The double wing creates a gorgeous cat eye effect, elogates the eyes and makes them appear bigger. The shadow was very simple, just a sparkly white from the lid to the brow bone. The difficult bit about the liner was making the two sides even. It takes a bit of practice and some rubbing out and re-drawing before it looks good. I really like this look, its dramatic for a night out but its not too dark, it stills plays the the 1950's theme that I absolutely love.
If you didn't want to pair this liner look with the dramatic red lip, I would suggest either a nude colour, while adding more black liner to the bottom lashline than I have in the picture. I used white liner on my lower lash line and waterline.
Also, I would stay away from the look if I had a particularly small space between my eye and eyebrow, or if my eyes were quite small. I would also stay away from it if my eyes were more of an almond shape, as this would make eyes appear smaller.
Also, I found that at certain angles, it can look a little bit like very curly, drawn on second eyebrows, but Im cool with that :)
I really hope you like the look, I'd love if you would let me know what you think!!!
Much apologies for the grumpy look on my face!!
I took these pictures on my webcam so they're at quite an odd angle, please ignore the fact that I look a bit like nearly headless Nick from Harry Potter!

Fifties Inspired Dramatic Wing
At the moment Im doing a little job for the week, where Im applying dramatic SFX make-up for a theatre production of Dracula. Today is the second last show and a TV company is coming in to film a bit. When I heard that there was a chance of being on the telly, my mind went into overdrive and my first thought was what make-up would be most flattering!! I went formy dramatic red lip, which is usually my go-to look. I paired it today with a very dramatic cat eye, which completely changed my eye shape. I went easy on the shadow, using a pale white shadow with a light brown in the crease and dark brown in the outer corner. I lined my waterline with white liner for the big, doll-eyed effect. I added lashings of mascara and the bold red lip. It was quick and easy and usually I get a lot of compliments. I have rather large lips and I like to playthem up with bright colours. This is such a simple look to re create, the only difficult bit is the dramatic wing, which can take a bit of practice to perfect.
I added a colourful scarf tied in a bow around my head and pinned up the rest of my hair at the back. Its a rainy day today so I couldn't risk looking like a wet dog by the time I get the bus into town, so hair up was the safest option today!
I'll leave the products I sed with some photo's below, I'd love any feedback you guys might have for me <3

Pretty Pinks and Purples for a sunny day
So when I woke up bright and early this morning I was both equally shocked and delighted to see that the weather is half decent. So I decided ot make the most of it and do a pretty, summery pink and purple look. This is out of the ordinary for me, even in summer I usually stick to dark eyeshadow looks, I just fel they suit me more. I did cheat a little with my summery look and did a dark plummy purple smokey eye. My lip is a fun two-tone today. A more girlish take on what I like to call my 'Frakenfurter' or 'Drag-Queen' lip. The outsid of my mouth is lined with hot pink liner. The outer corner of my top and bottom lips is filled with a hot pink colour, which fades into a more bubble gum princess, Barbie pink in the centre. Again, quite a bold look for those who like to stand out a little bit. But its easily toned down. I find that plummy, purple shadows suit dark eyes like mine.
My hair is different than usual today too. I opted for a flirty up-do. Inspired by a Meganheartsmakeup Youtube tutorial on a Rihanna look. I pulled my hair back into a medium ponytail, curl the pony and basically piled it up on top of my head. I finished it off with a little lacyscarf tied around. Its a bit refreshing for me, and I like it because you can actually see my Scaffold piercing, which is usually hidden by my long hair.
I hope you like this look, I will list all products I used below :)

Summer Look!
Seeing as the summer has just begun, and though it doesn't feel like it wit all the rainy weather, we have the chace now that we're out of the uniforms for three months, to go a bit mad with our make-up. Personally I am very partial to Rockabilly and 1950's glamour make-up. I usually incorporate some winged eyeliner and a bold lip into all of my makeup looks. Today was no different. I did a toned down, day time smokey eye with a bold red lip. I know this might seem a bit dramatic for day time for some people, but in my opinion its a very easy look to change up a bit, toning down the shadow in the crease and applying a cherry lip gloss instead of the bright red lipstick. I'll list all products used below. Hope you like it!!
